Mice in Jeans Mice in Jeggings Mice in your CR7s Mice in the shoes your mum bought In the jacket your dad wore Face down, eyes on the roof (stay very still) A brown chord mouse texting your mum back For how long are you gonna sell bin bags That's not what I want That's not what I want And oh, I'm feeling down. Why does my face feel funny When I, switch from a smile To a frown And I'm feeling tired and awake My souls escaped My mind pulsates upon the trials of yesterday (and scratching) Three piece sheet set mouse from Wilkos Light creeps in through the window And falls upon my face Mice in Jeans Mice in Jeggings Mice in your CR7s Mice in the shoes your mum bought In time you'll have thought Not filled with the scratching at the walls And I'm feeling down. Why does my face feel funny When I switch from a smile to a frown And I'm feeling tired and awake My souls enslaved to the beating of my mind on yesterday (and scratching) Three piece sheet set mouse from Wilkos Light creeps in through the window And falls upon my face A Carhart mouse It's life on track Doing my admin My achy back. I'm not quite where I wanted to be. (Instrumental) (Sleep talking murmurs) Mice in Jeans Mice in Jeggings Mice in your CR7s Mice in the shoes your mum bought In the jacket your dad wore Face down, eyes on the roof Stay very still.

A paper trail of teal squares Out your shop door To a phone call Where I have your pants down Shifting plastic to shift plastic Shifting plastic to shift plastic Barry Bromptons got a brand new name for me Customer success and green advisory Barry Bromptons booked a wellness day for me And for you Barry a gushing pipeline of warm leads Just for you, just for you just you just for you Shifting plastic to shift plastic Shifting plastic to shift plastic And I negotiated a shirtless contract So I could look sexy When I'm at my desk So I can look sexy When I ask if you want a brew So I can look sexy When I ask if you've ever done to Kennington Loop So I can look sexy When stand on your shop floor And I ask you: "Have you ever considered that recycling Might not just benefit the environment But it might just save you A little bit of cash on the side YES" An agent for some yuppy A pawn in his vision And I'm getting into character As the man on his mission Hit my targets till the Month renews The week repeats My Monday blues I think of all the things I'd rather do than this Trousers firmly up On my sitdown wee Hiding from responsibility Hiding from my boss Hiding from the greenwash Hiding from my boss Hiding from the greenwash Hiding from my boss Hiding.. So I cornered a badger On my way back home Just to feel something To feel in control To know that something else feels trapped, Trapped by payrolls weekly chats and Licking arseholes on the reg With Gregg from finance down my neck And so I Cornered a badger On my way back home So I cornered a badger On my way back home I look it dead in the eyes And I call it a wanker Before I get down on my knees and ask it for the answer

about

Plastic Values was written during an identity crisis. These songs act as a cathartic release, reflecting wryly upon Louie Barby’s move to London to work within the sales department of a waste management company. With these songs he attempts to poke fun at the man he’s becoming whilst also highlighting a deeper feeling of turmoil and resentment.

Written using only a cello and loop pedal, Slow Cooked now performs his music with a band of bass and drums. The recording process wanted to stay true to the song's origins and therefore most sounds and rhythms were created using the cello in various ways.
